Motorized Latch Retraction (MLR) 2-649-5007

Modified on Thu, Jun 16, 2022 at 3:09 PM

While installing the Motorized Latch Retraction for our 4500 and 4600 Exit Devices, there is an easy solution if the latch is not retracting.

If the push bar does not retract to the dogged position within two attempts, rotate the adjustment screw counterclockwise to decrease the latch retraction

Additionally for SVR & CVR

If making the adjustment to the motor does not work on these devices, disconnect one or both of your rods to determine if the motor will go to the retracted (dogged) position.

  • If the motor goes to the dogged position, then one or both of your rods are too tight and need to be mechanically adjusted.
  • 4500 Series Exit will not dog
