Initialize NCoder

Modified on Thu, Jan 26, 2023 at 11:13 AM

If using an Ncoder on a different system than it was initialized on, you need to factory reset it.

1 - With the Ncoder unplugged, press and hold the CLR button on the back.

2 - While still holding the CLR button, plug the USB cable in and keep holding until the red LED comes on.

3 - Unplug the USB cable for a few seconds and plug it back in. The LED should come back on red.

4 - In your new system, go to keys and read key.

5 - You should get the following popup. Press and release the CLR button once and click the Initialize button on the popup. When it's done initializing, the LED should flash green once and then start blinking, looking for a card to read.
